Websites

  • Reachout is a website for young people designed to raise awareness of issues impacting on mental health, including AOD use.
  • Kids Help Line provides online and telephone based free confidential counselling for young people.
  • Bluebelly is a harm reduction website for young people interested in reducing harm from amphetamine and related drugs.
  • Somazone is a website developed by the ADF, where young people can send their questions which are then answered by professionals. A range of topics are included, from drug use and mental health to sexuality and relationships.
  • Tune in not out has been developed by the Lions Club Drug Awareness Foundation, and provides a pod-casting service, where young people can learn about healthy decision making around alcohol and other drug use.
  • Mood Gym is based on two programs, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Interpersonal Therapy, which are successful in preventing and treating depression and anxiety. The program is interactive and registration is free.
  • Counselling Online is a program offered by Turning Point, which delivers free confidential online counselling about AOD and related issues.
  • Anxiety Online is a comprehensive online mental health service offering information, assessment, online diagnosis and treatment programs ("eTherapy") for anxiety disorders.

  • The Alcohol and Drug Information Service (ADIS) stock a wide range of print resources.  Phone 1800 177 833 or email ADIS to request their latest order form.
  • The Queensland Government Bookstore stock all Queensland Government print resources.
  • The Australian Drug Foundation publish and supply a range of alcohol and other drug print resources, DVDs, posters and books.
  • Turning Point publish a range of print resources including information for clients, as well as treatment manuals.
  • NDARC have developed a number of print resources which can be provided to clients.
  • NCPIC have developed a number of print resources around cannabis use.
  • Orygen Youth Health have developed resources dealing with youth mental health issues.
  • A series of colourful Mental Health Resources for Indigenous Young People have been developed by the Mental Health Alcohol Tobacco and Other Drugs Service (MHATODS).  Hard copies can also be ordered through ADIS.
