LAYING DOWN THE CRIMINAL LAW: A HANDBOOK FOR YOUTH WORKERS

Ever wondered what to do if you come across illegal drugs in your workplace?  What about taking a knife off a young person before they come into your service.  Do you return it to them when they leave?  These tricky questions are just a few examples of the complex legal problems that youth workers confront daily.  The people at the Youth Advocacy Centre have covered all these issues and more in their amazing book "Laying Down the Criminal Law:  A Handbook for Youth Workers."   The book includes essential information on confidentiality and consent, understanding subpoenas, and heaps more.   It's essential reading for anyone working with young people in Queensland.
