STRENGTHENING PREVENTION AND EARLY INTERVENTION SERVICES FOR FAMILIES

Family and Relationship Services Australia commissioned a report that looks at ways of increasing family-based prevention and early intervention services for families. Eight health and social problems were identified that could benefit from early intervention from family and relationship services.  This includes alcohol and other drug use, antisocial behaviour, obesity, mental illness, developmental injury (such as FASD and child neglect and abuse), chronic illness, school failure and social exclusion.
