TARGET AUDIENCEThis module provides participants with a theoretical understanding of how to respond to an opioid overdose and administer and determine the use of naloxone preparations Nyxoid® and Prenoxad®. Participants will also have an opportunity to learn how to detect the signs and symptoms of an opioid overdose.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of this module, learners will be able to:

  • identify the signs and symptoms of an opioid overdose  
  • understand how to respond to an opioid overdose
  • determine the use of opioid antagonists
